Lingo Pacifica: Live from Costa Rica
I was reluctant to take the Lingo Pacifica language translator on a recent trip to Villa Breceno, Costa Rica. Trying to pack on the light side, I was concerned that the Pacifica could be another gizmo that I wouldn’t use. But the idea of “field testing” a product was too compeling to pass up.
I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. The Pacifica was an instant hit as my traveling companions eagerly took a turn using it. It was fun coming up with a word or phrase of the day. Today’s phrase is como estas? (”How are you?”). Thankfully, the Pacifica’s expert translation made the phrase easy to speak.
In my travels to foreign countries (15+ and counting) there is one universal truth: locals really appreciate it when foreigners make an attempt to speak their native language. When language barriers are broken down, people become friends. The Lingo Pacifica is one great travel tool to take on your next trip.
